Oliver experienced wildfire first hand in 1996 when the Skeleton Fire destroyed 19 houses in the Sundance neighborhood Southeast of Bend, his childhood home among them. That is why Oliver serves on the Deschutes County Project Wildfire Steering Committee, helping neighbors prepare and protect against another disaster.
